Is there any reason that you're thinking about doing health checks?

Seems a little over the top to me.

"However it does state on health and safety website that a health professional is required to do these checks".

If thats exactly what it says then your husband as a nurse would be suitable. If it says it should be specifically a "this" or "that" then thats who you need.

I would use your husband but pay him do it through the books etc so it is recorded. If you dig on the web or he does, you may find a copy of a suitable protocol/assesment for him to follow.

If you are however in any doubt i would drop an email to the relevant people to ask who can perform the examinations etc.
