No, a local window cleaner uses the omnipole, yeah I forgot the f16, that was very very light, even lighter than the superlite but you have to make it yourself( sorry jeff, but not as strong  :) ), Luke

Alex the only trouble I had with this pole was I used all of the ptfe spray in one go, it is only a 70ml bottle, for £4 I ordered a 400ml bottle of ptfe spray from ebay!! apart from that everything is great, Luke

I think that you might have used a little too much Luke!

I can usually initially treat about 4 complete poles with one can.

Just thinking today what a well priced pole this is. It was only a short time ago when I started and there was some carbon modular pole about on its' own little stand for about £1500! can't remember what it was though but one of the major brands I think. :o

Could you do me a favour and NOT use the can from eBay until I have checked it out.  I have just bought one from the same guy after your post and want to check it's exact make-up as it says it's a penetrating spray 'with PTFE'.  If it is the same product - brilliant, we'll be changing manufacturer for our pole packs.  If it isn't, it may prevent the joints working properly.

GT 85 I think that's a general purpose lubricant - a bit like WD40 used a lot on mountain bikes etc?

it is a long lasting film type lubricant ( not greasy or oily ) with teflon ptfe.

What's the typical usage of this pole? What should I use it for , and how long will it take me to assemble?
I like it when forum members do product reviews but a bit of balance would be nice.

I can understand it's use for cleaning a block of flats, but I don't have any. I do have occasional high windows and am thinking about a 28' or 35' xtel hybrid, tell me why I should get a superlite 2 instead?

Your pretty much spot on there, BUT it's all about weight really. Most poles are usable if they can be kept vertical but try reaching twenty feet over a conservatory with a glassfibre pole for any length of time especially held head high and you know it. I'm pretty new to this But I know I can't use a glassfibre pole like that day in day out. They CAN be used for domestic work but they are slower to put together and take apart and carry, But you can work all day with one with minimal body strain and of course they are perfect for the highest jobs. There are cheaper ways to make a very light pole. You pays yer money and takes yer choice. Get what you pay for and all that. :)

I would guess there is a good chance of soaking the fibres over time with this and weakening the joint?

Because the Ionic and others is telescopic it has more bend than any fishing pole. Lets say about 4ft sag difference at 42ft.
Also the 60fter is a 2 man pole.

what bend? I've seen those ionics ones in use, talk about a Mr.whippy!! take a look at the pictures again!! you dont get straighter than this, Luke

You also payed 3 times what I did for my pole, imagine how much more profit you could have had with a super-light 2. And this weighs 1.8kg!!! less than an 18ft glass fibre pole. MY DISABLED MUM COULD HOLD IT UP!!! that says it all I think.
