Don't fit wood to the floor if you are going wfp. Big mistake. The water goes underneath and rots the floor  :o Get speedliner (best but expensive) or Protectakote (cheaper DIY option). You will regret it if you don't  :'(

Too true.

You can't see what's happening if you ply-line.  Until one day the bottom drops out of your van ;D

The first thing I did when I bought a van with ply lining was take it out.

Protectakote costs about £50 or so for enough to give a good couple of coats and is worth every penny.

And it's cheaper and quicker than lining ;D ;D

REMEMBER he want to ply line so the sides of the van dont get dented with poles etc etc, you dont have to ply line all of it but the side doors, back doors and panels are really important, havent you noticed those vans dented outwards, thats because they arent lined! Luke

Hi Ian,

I am taking out the ply from the floor now and protectacote'in it. will be lining the sides etc as I dont want the van getting knocked from the inside it makes a van look terrible IMO and I like mystuff to last and look nice so I tend to look after it

Don't forget to carry the Protecta Kote about 6-8 inches up the sides before you cover them up with the lining.

I protecta- Koted my van then ply lined it.  A peugeot partner needed exactly 2 lts to do 2 coats.

The chap (forget his name) at NVP said that is fine.  Needed the van ply lines as I intend to put seats in the mid section.
Whilst getting it ply lined the chaps fitting the lining were complaining about the fumes from the protecta-kote.  It had been down about 8 days.  It is strong stuff. ;D
Veni, vidi, vino, splatus.

Speak to the main dealer.

Or, buy a kit. Trace it out onto sheet ply. Sell the kit on ebay, or return it as surplus.

If the ply lining is fixed to the floor and you are unable to see moisture don`t protecktacote over it,if there is any water at all under there once coated it will be unable to escape and rot the floor.Better to go straight over the original floor ie metal.

Were does the water come from? because if it can rot your van floor there must be alot of water leaking or something. surely its not from the pipes because you wouldnt put up with a leaking pump or what ever etc lol.

Is it from water left in the hose?

if water is touching metal it will rust, water eates most things in time anything, same as wood and most other items, water is lazy will find easy way everytime (fact)is the Daddy you have been warned  :P
