What payment methods would you recommend ?

Do you find collecting is the best way, or leaving a card saying whats due, your address etc?

Any Advice appreciated.

i simply leave a note saying they have been cleaned today etc, please send cheque making it payable to......... and address... 99 % send it ... all be it slowly

but i will be leaving S.A E. shortly.

If mine are not in i leave a S A E with no stamp on & write the first line of the address on & ammount.

I never go collecting but sometimes stop on the way home if a car is in the drive.

i never collect its cheques by post or via internet banking which is free and only takes 2/3 days where a cheque takes 5 days to clear

a few pay me online, which suits me fine, ive had 2 people ask for my bank details, but i dont know how i would know who paid me what

matt when they pay online get them to put their address in the reference line i have not had any problems

I leave SAE. Payment can be slow, but it beats collecting. I do collect some locals. Thinking about PayPal, but they take a charge. Online sounds worth trying to develop.

i meant for interent banking, do you get a reference box even with that ?? ? ?

yes matt they have a reference section they have to fill in put it on all chits you leave that they must use their address i know which ones use online so wouldnt be too much trouble working out who its from

Is this not voluntary? I am preparing invoices and am asking the customer to leave a reference in this box. Don't think they "have to".

they dont have to if they dont want to but then they can always go back to paying by cheque with an extra charge to cover my bank charges
