pump question
« on: October 02, 2007, 10:55:21 pm »
Hi,

i worked as normal today,

came home , had food, then thought i would clean my own windows.

but my pump is making all the right noises, but not ,
pumping water,... i have to say i moved it earlier, and i may have put it at a different angle, but i have tried to change it around but cannot remember how it was.... do i have to have the pump in the van a certain way up?

grateful for any help.

Thanks.

I think it`s better to have pressure switch pointing downwards.

It's probably just drawing air somewhere at your inlet side.  You probably disturbed it when you moved the pump.

I'm having this problem ALL THE TIME :( Wasted an hour today going back to the van, getting the pump going, back to the pole... no pressure.... back to the van..... etc etc  :-\ All the connections seem tight. Where could the air be coming from?

It certainly drives you up the wall.... i have tried  sucking it out then re-attaching hose, no joy....

and today it all stopped totally,  no power, nothing.

took a connection from the battery, after checking everything.... left it off two mins...  put it back on..all started working again, an hour later same again.

baffled.
