Assuming the jobs I mentioned don't go monthly, in one year the turnover generated is £12,765

People spend more than that on a franchise!

Note:

I'm not asking for offers, I'm asking how much would you sell it for if it were your work.

No seriously mike,if it only generates 12 grand a year it aint worth that much mate.At that king of turnover a year i would say Dave was pretty close, within a grand or so anyway.

I've been toying with the idea of selling this work for 2 years. But I keep coming back to the same conclusions.

You are right, I do have a figure in mind and if I were to go ahead and sell it, then yes I would want that figure. I'm waiting to see if anyone thinks along the same lines as me in terms of what it's worth.

A domestic window cleaning round that averages £20 per hour is probably worth 3 times the monthly value, (finding domestic work is relatively easy)  so what is a commercial round worth that averages almost £40 an hour?

Domestic rounds as a rukle are generally worth 2 x a clean and I am pretty sure that quality commercial work goes for 3-4 times the one clean if that makes sense. I may be wrong but there again may be right.

If you had a round for sale and it was worth £1000 a month if that consisted of about 5-6 jobs it would be worth loads more than the same amount made up of loads of little jobs. It`s the type of work be it commercial or domestic,i can earn the same if not more on my domestics than i can on my commercial work, commercial is not the be all and end all of WC.

I'll second that NWH, i also have more valuble work than mike is stating but don't wish to disclose it as it would be classed as bragging

I would pay 4 times up front, and if the work was still valid after 2 years i would give u another 4 times.

Commercial work should be valued at about 10 times monthly, usually sold to those that know the work.

It is very rare for good commercial rounds to come on the market.

Most of them are sold through word of mouth, the need to advertise them is not needed.

If I sub it to a bona fide contractor at £150 per day, I can still make £560 per month doing nothing but sending invoices.

So if I sell it for £3000, after only 6 months I'd be regretting it.

What is it worth to sell an income of £560 per month for a couple of hours work invoicing and phone calls?

Even if someone bought it for £10,000, after a year they could do the same thing, subbing it out and have £560 coming in for just invoicing.

I'm not posting this to brag.... I know for a fact that there is better work out there.

As I say its been two years I've been toying with this idea, I turned down an offer of £6000 a few months ago.
I'm honestly posting this because I need advice.

At last....Well done Dave, That's more like the figure I had in mind even then I think....

Am I just being daft even thinking of selling it???? :P

Keep the £560 a month coming in,if you sold it for say £6000 and put that in the bank you aint gonna get £560 a month interest that`s for sure.

Exactly!!

I'd be wanting at least £10,000 to even consider it.

Sry if this is wrong, but I saw the post that says £500 for 14 hours work with 2 men. there would be no way in this world I would pay 2x times for it, 1 14 hours in a day for a start 2 14 hours for 2 men to get £500 thats very poor earning is it not for the south?

Some of the other worked looked ok, but 10k for just over a grand a month, IMO you are kidding yourself. ::)

I would keep it if I was you as I dont recon you will get want you want for it.
