Please help my water is gushing out at about 100 L an hour.

I have got an eco flow, mini bore, and 110 AH battery.


I have changed two things;
1. the battery from 75ah to 110ah because it was being erratic.
2. I have taken the DI off my van and now do this prior to a holding tank.

The Eco is on minimum setting. Is there some kind of internal adjustement I can make to turn the flow down?

Your pressure switch has gone and it`s more than likely blown the eco-flo.

why have u changed the bat to 75 amp hour?


The amp hour is just and indication of how long ur battery will last - depending on what amps your pump draws a per hour id keep it with he 110amp hour mate.

This is not a battery problem i`m 99.9% sure,i`ve had this same problem x2.The eco-flo has since been updated.

so you mean a new pressure switch or a new eco, or is this the same thing?

Your pressure switch has gone and it sounds like it has blown the eco-flo aswell,if you replace the switch you will have the same problem.If you replace switch and eco-flo it WILL happen again beleive me it`s happend to me twice,you need an updated eco-flo or varistream ie a controller that dosen`t require a switch,when you install a pump with controller that requires a switch you still need to fine tune the pump so it shuts off in a sensible time ie 4-5 seconds or you gonna get a build up of pressure and go through switches like no tomorrow.

The pump shuts off fine, everything behaves well apart from too much pressure.

I do have a spare varistream pump board. Perhaps I should whack this on and see if there is a difference.

Sounds like your eco-flo isn't working.  Some people like 100 litres an hour as it is only about 1.6 litres per minute.  If this is too much for you, the simple solution is to switch from minibore hose to microbore hose.  This will automatically reduce your flow rate.

Is it possible that it's working as it should do then ?

It's just that previously with the 75ah battery being iffy and the extra effort to push through a did vessel it came out slower.

Surely though the dial on the eco should have some effect, and it doesn't.

I'm prepared to admit that it's poorly, but it does turn it on and off and it does shut the pump down promptly if i turn the tap off, and it does build the pressure up internally if I have allowed water to escape without it being turned on.

The pump recognises that the controller has told it to turn off,but the pump does not recognise that there`s an increase in flo rate therefore your eco-flo insn`t working is it.

That's why I'm asking if there is any adjustment.

It sounds as if your eco-flo is not working.  The pressure switch on the pump is telling the pump to switch off, not the eco-flo.  The eco-flo changes the current to the pump varying the flow rate.  If the eco-flo is not varying the flow rate at all, then it is broken.

Okay I'll shut up, but I'm still going to unscrew the top and have a look inside.

Fitted the varistream pump board that I had ready to go to a two man operation.

It worked perfectly, including the control numpty that varies the speed of the pump.

The control I have over it I never ever had with the eco.

One thing, the eco shut off almost instantly when I shut the hose tap, whilst this vary grumbles on for some time before the light changes from green to red and it stops.

So my next question is to repair my eco pump box(which has a perfectly good pump and pre filter in it)  should I ;

A. Get a new varistream and fit this because they are better.
or
B. Just get a new ecoflow

Don't forget? you don't need the pressure switch when you have the varistream fitted.

P.S. Refit your larger battery.

The pump board was already wired jeff, all I had to do was crocodile a red and black wire to the battery, and put the ends onto the board.

Ie, it's not the same pump as the eco flow box.And I assume it was done correctly. My question is should I get another eco controller or a vari for it?

Regards the battery I think you misread my post. I said the water was coming out too fast and I'd made two changes, removed the di and changed the battery.
This wasn't done to fix the problem I was wondering if it was the cause.
