Had a retirement block to do this week. Whilst I was cleaning inside the communial areas I got chatting to a resident - "you coming back to do the outsides tomorrow?" "no" I said "i'll be doing them in a couple of hours" "well the last cleaner used to take three days". Strange that 'cos I was finished by half two in the afternoon!

I'm starting to be aware of this. People think we're working too quick and so we're either a) not doing a good job or b) we're charging too much. I think lots of people are happier to see me us go up and down a ladder and take 20 minutes than wfp the place in 10. They think they're getting better value for money. I definitely now take my time a bit, pack up, generally fart about doing things i would need to do, before going to get paid, if they are in. If not, it's full steam ahead Either way they get the same result - clean windows. If I have a row of say 4 houses, I do all the upstairs and then all the down. That way I'm "around" for longer

I was quoting a huge hotel 100 massive windows ( 4 times bigger than a standard house windows ). The owner used to have a trad cleaner doing it, he took 4 days on his won. Some wfp guys do it now and it takes 3 of them 2-3 hours!!!!!

He must have been slow even though he was trad,that job must have been quiet high by that i mean he must have been having to lean out and do the outsides from the insides for it to have taken him that long,must be a big job.

the job is massive, he did it all outside because the windows are huge. Queen Victoria stayed their once! We didnt get the job though

If someone thinks your doing then too quick, tell them that yes it's much quicker, but have they seen the price of DI water in Halfords

I'm seriously thinking of selling it to customers as an add on it would be so easy to fill their container for the ironing.

Last time someone told me it was done quick i told them that it was a tool to help me do my work which made it safer, quicker with a better result.

I asked them if they moaned when they took their car to the garage to get new tyres fitted when they used an air ratchet to undo the wheel nuts instead of a wheel brace.

I told a customer the other day. I've just used about £50 worth of di water on your windows. They couldn't understand how I can do it for less than the water is worth! So I explained that my garage looks like something you would find beneath a swimming pool. They think I'm the bee's knee's of w/cing now!
