Portable tower
« on: September 16, 2007, 06:08:05 pm »
I've just done the ousides of a school and they want a quote for the insides. There are some difficult windows above the gym etc probably twenty feet or more high. Is there a tower I could hire - it would need to be light, portable possibly on wheels and as narrow as possible.

Been trawling and it looks to be almost as cheap to buy from Screwfix!

you dont want cherry pickers indoors. You need the quick release scaffolding platforms. But if you are working in a public place you will need to read the h&s leaflts on erecting them. Get them for only £88 per week from hss hire

I think you will need something to stop yourself from falling backwards while working. Dave, are you wfp? Luke

Dave, if you are wfp. You can use the poles to clean indoors but with trad tools. A squeegee and applicator will push-fit over the plastic angle adapters. Then buy a vileda microfibre swivel floor cleaner ( they have a vikan style thread ) to dry the window off. It eliminates the need for ladders indoors. It is so simple and so effective. Luke

yeah a backflip would be good in combination with the vileda swivel microfibre, it makes it so easy to dry the window off, Luke

Think you'll need stabalizers with that tower to comply with H&S regulations.
