The 24ft Hybrid X-Tel pole is 5' 10.75" or 1795mm long when closed. When fully extended it is 23' 8" long or 7211mm long.

It currently has one of the best weight per cm ratios of any pole on the market as illustrated below:



It also fairs very well in the rigidity test:



It is quite usable as a downstairs pole as well, I use the 21ft as a downstairs pole and it has the same closed length as the 24ft.

Thanks Alex,I thought I'd treat myself to a good pole,been using the unger green cone pole since I started wfp nearly a year a go,probably need 24ft to cover all work at the moment,but being a tight git, I can't make me mind up to get the fibre glass or hybrid.

Should the hybrid wear a lot longer than fibre glass?

Alex.  When you post pictures they don't seem to show up.  This has happened a few times recently.

In theory the Hybrid will wear more slowly due to the surface finish on the pole sections.  This is all I can say as the poles have only been on the market for about 4 months which has not been long enough to assess wear accurately.  What I can say is that I have been using a 21 ft Fibre glass for the last 4 months as my taller domestic pole (so not all the time) and there has been no appreciable wear.  I have not had to adjust the clamps at all.

I'm using Internet Explorer - Version 6.  Other pictures seem to be showing up OK both in this forum and on other websites.
I also have Netscape 5 and they don't show up in that either.
IE 6 just shows a square with a red cross.  If I right click on it and select PROPERTIES, it gives the link where a picture is on the web.  When I paste this into either of the browers it returns "page not found" errors.

Does the hybrid use the same tapes as the xtell glass fibre.

The tapes have started to fail on my xtel poles, when extending the sections slide out past the tapes.

The clamps are as tight as they should be ant tighter and i would struggle to extend the pole

I believe that the tape stops are the same on all of the range. I personally have not had any problems with these tapes. I think that it is dependant on the amount of force that is exerted when pulling the section out.

It does indeed seem bizarre Alex.  I can view all pictures both on and off this forum, in both f my browsers, except the ones that you post.  I even posted a test pic to the non cleaning section and that showed up fine as well.  Normally I would say that you hadn't uploaded correctly but as Dave can see the pics as well, clearly you have done so.

Sounds like one of those computer/internert mysteries that crop up occasionally.
