how long do you think a bag of resin will last with tap water with a tds of 54?

6 months if you use dowex resin with 2 DI vessels.

Bear in mind the amount of water you pump through it. If your hitting 650ltrs a day then your looking at probably around the month timescale.

Yeah, thats a valid point, my estimate is based on an average one man wfp set up. i am one man 400ltr van mount & i quote my resin usage, brand & set up.

Yeah but no pure water on demand with RO.
This way = no holding tank, no waste water, never run out of water, no pump/transfere hose, no hassle, no membranes, no waiting hours on end for your water etc, etc, etc. and all for the grande sum of- 2 bags of resin per year, 160 quid!
Its a real no brainer aint it ;D
