I presume that you mean the Coir barrier matting?
Typically used as well mats. Cut from the back and, in a well, cut between 1/8" and 1/4"(on larger mats) too short. The mats will grow and buckle if not cut slightly short.
Many retailers carry stock and cut from the roll. By far the cheaper way of buying it.
Coir can be bought in other forms too, such as woven carpet and mats. Outside mats, not, IMO, a practical option.
