The second generation prototypes should be in 'testing' within a couple of weeks and all being well they will be on sale by the end of the year.

If you need something sooner, then the 24ft Hybrid X-Tel are good poles or the 24ft Facelifts are, as you know, very good or the new Skypole looks like a contender although they are not as light as the Facelift (but may be stiffer, who knows and may be cheaper, who knows).

I ordered a 24 hybrid. Hope its good.

Its to replace the fishing pole which was caught in a freak accident. A gust of wind blew a gate shut as I was walking through and crushed the bottom section. In that instant I was suddenly fed up with modular.

The 24ft Hybrid is a very nice little pole.

It is relatively light, compact and stiff with great clamps. It also does not cost the earth.
