hi Dave

May have the chance of renting my cousins house in the next couple of months and see this as my time to take the plunge and move. What I was wondering is due you think it worth my while to see if WCR or Roundbuilders could do something for me in the area.Do you know of any sub contract work, anyone selling any work or looking for staff?

Regards

Wayne

Hi Wayne

I Couldnt reccommend any doorknocking firms , there are to many variables and I have never heard enough positive feedback from people who have used them. I have heard more bad than good.

I have tried doorknocking in the past and havent got much out of it , most of my work is word of mouth and that is how most things work down here.

It is also an high retirement ,curtain twitcher brigade down here and most are suspicious of people knocking door.

Saying that I know the higher part of St Ives struggles with window cleaners maybe due to it being mostly council, but it is a start and i reckon you could grow organicaly from there down into main St-Ives.

Most other areas seem to be well covered, \but if you are prepared to travel you will build some kind of a round, It has taken me 10 years to compact my round up due to it being a free for all down here every street usually has half a dozen window cleaners turning up over the month.

I know of one round for sale in St Austell , I think it takes £550 a week and he wants £7k for it, It has been cleaned trad up to know , let me know. I am looking at it this weekend but if it doesnt fit me i will give you the details.

you will be hard pushed to find any subbie work as it is mostly one man bands who just potter about

When You come down look me up and if we hit it off , I could offer you a bit of part time to see how it goes, then if your any good , maybe full time ?, if you dont get sorted out with your own round.

Dave

St austell is about 45 mins on a good drive.

As for work , all i could offer is part time at first so not a lot really, probably not worth it to you as you are used to a lot more.

Maybe we could have a chat when you are next down.
