Have you got a opertators manual? Your first port of call should be with your supplier, give them a call and see if they can shed some light on your issues.

You'll probably need to let them know what your water pressure is and also the operational water pressure, along with the waste to product water ratio.

How long have you been using your system for? was it functioning properly to begin with.

what it is simon is that i have just moved house, i have had my RO setup for around 2-3 years, and i have never had a problem before, i used to be able to produce 100 litres of water an hour and now its lucky if i'm producing 20 an hour, its only happened today as this is the first time i have plumbed it in, around 6 months ago i smashed my PSI gauge by accident but because it was working fine i never replaced it, i have never had it this slow so was wondering if it got flushed would that provide more water? i will buy a gauge and a booster pump as i think i need it but now wondering about flushing my ro

You could try disconecting your feed supply after your pre-filters to see if you've got a good supply of water before it reaches your RO mebrane.

If you have a good supply of feed water it may be your membranes had it.

But first  check to see what your mains pressure is like at your new house. It may be lower than before. Also you need to know what your operational water presure is like try conecting a pressure gauge between your pre-filters and your membrane if it's very low then you probably need a booster pump.

I'm not sure how you flush your particular system, so i cant really help you there.

When did you last change your particular filter and carbon filter. Have you taken them out of their housings to see if they are seated properly.

thank you simon, i will buy a pressure gauge tomorrow (should be able to get one from b&q ain't it?)

the ro membrane has never been changed, i will check the housings tomorrow, the tap does look like it has decent pressure though, and when i took the hoselock off the first blue filter, a lot of pressure had built up and i had a lot of back spray, does that mean anything?

Just a thought did you let your membrane dry out before moving it to your new home? I understand that membranes need to be kept wet after they are first used. Also if your membranes 3yrs old perhaps its past it's working life? Is your water quality good or bad in your region what TDS readings do you have in your new house?

Before spending out on a booster pump you need to know if you actually need one, so i'd get my pressure gauge working again. and refer back to your supplier.

Hope this helps

Before you disconect your systems parts remember to shut the system down, This will save you getting a soaking ;)

just been looking at a replacement 4040 membrane, so if this did need replacing would it slow up the amount of pure water being produced?

Your TDS is reasonably high, If you haven't been changing your pre-filters on a regular basis, then possibly your membranes shot. :'(

After 3yrs you've got your money's worth out of it though. ;D
