crimped solution lines
« on: September 08, 2007, 01:04:49 pm »
I bought a Hide-a-hose last week, the solution line is stamped with ' parker 400psi' so I would believe i could put 400psi through it, but the ends are just crimped on ( the fastener which you slip over the end of the solution line then  crimp the ends with pliers to make water tight) i don't believe this type of fitting would be able to take 400psi

what do you think?

Maybe the fact that 3000 is the usual standard should warn of potential problems.

Only time I bust a hose was after adding inline heater within 15 feet of the wand.

I would presume, Mike, that 400psi is cold, for warm to hot water the rating would be lower.

Safe and happy cleaning :)
