Carpet tiles and HWE
« on: September 06, 2007, 06:21:58 pm »
Hi all,
I have just done a quote at a local Bowles club. They have a large area to clean but it is made up of carpet tiles, non of which it seems are stuck to the floor. You can prise them from the floor without too much problem. They are all well laid it seems, with just a few that are sticking up at the edges.

My question is- I use a truckmount, and I would be sure that the suction will suck the tiles from the floor! Hence it would be a bit of a disaster!

I would think that I would have to walk away from this one as I dont have a rotary machine?
Does this seem to be the correct thing to do, given the equipment I use?
Thanks in advance
Ben

Buy a glide for your wand.,it won't pull so much then, better airflow.

Surely a glide would reduce air flow and increase vacuum

You definately need a glide, you will see oh so much difference in ease of use.
Alternatively for now make use of what you do have, should be no problem if you tilt the wand slightly to let more air through, piece of cake.

No problem, just make sure your wand strokes overlap the joins in the tiles. Even though they are not stuck they do adhere to the floor quite well.

Try Hydramaster, the Greenglides are the best.
