Time wasters
« on: September 05, 2007, 07:02:42 pm »
I put my truckmount for sale on the board, I was inundated with people who said please please can you sell the van with it, reluctantly I put the whole package up. Response? One Jamie from Chester who offered £1500 less. How soon can you get the money? It's waiting here he said, I'll definitely buy it. I then spent 3 days trying to source a new vehicle, at least 8 people have worked their socks off to find what I needed and eventually 2 came up with the goods, so I rang the definite buyer and said ok I'll take your offer, I'll ring you back in 5mins he said. 5hrs later when I rang him he said he'd lost the number, he was having a meeting with his business partner that night and would ring me 1st thing in the morning. Suffice to say, I'm still waiting for the call. I can't imagine how many man hours and telephone calls have been wasted on this, Just what you need with a full diary. Is it me? am I being unfair here?

Until it's paid for it's not sold. Surprised at you guys for not getting this. Don't p$%s people around and don't make promises you can't keep, that my motto and it's always worked for me. Sadly not many share this philosiphy.

Steve, I think the Mods just took your thread away. Lets dress up in some biker gear and take em out on Brighton beach with "who are you, who who" playing in the background.

Pete,
I understand it's not sold till it's paid for but if you applied that principle you'd never book any carpet cleaning would you? We have to assume that people are genuine on these boards but equally I think we need to know when they're not!

Dave if you don't know them then don't deal with them, the industry is filling up with idiots, they talk like they are big earners but are on the bones of there arses.

I could names some names who can't even afford to pay £150 for their leaflets, they keep promising to send the cheque but it never appears, the bailiffs are calling on one of them next week, this is someone who posts here offering newbies advices on how to run a business, WHAT A CLOWN!!

like I said too many idiots about, you know who you can trust, keep it to the old school :P :P

I don't think naming a nom de plume could land anyone in court so by asking the person a question on here about his buying intention and obviously using his name to identify him should be safe.
Just a thought

Mike
Don't name the ones you're referring  to.

Hi Dave,

Sorry to hear about you being messed around.

I've had the same not from the same person I might add! Half a dozen people wanted the eclipse I was selling, all came to nothing. Sold it today through ebay.

I'm glad he didn't buy Dave Washbrooks machine, I wouldnt have it sitting outside in my van now if he had ;D!!

Good luck with the sale ;).

Kind regards,
Jason.

Anyone who missed out on the recent spate of truckmounts for sale, including one of mine. These guys have a Tm in and 03 van for £4500.

Sorry couldn't post the details page, just look under cars for sale or on autotrder.co.uk has more pics of it.

Hi

I think that was up for about 10K, about a year ago.

Hows that for depreciation.
