White spotting, need help!! Pics.
« on: September 05, 2007, 04:47:17 pm »
Hi guys, started this job today, What a bitch of a job!!
Insides and out Initial clean! Very dirty.
Insides pain in ass cos of stairs and escalators in way ect.

Any way outsides really dirty, never cleaned before, did with WFP and results were shocking!
White marks all over the place, never suffered with them before really but cos windows are black tinted they have shown up like a rash on a hookers ASS!
I scrubbed as much as I could and rinsed lots....
I used a 35FT fiberglass pole with a lightweight brush because of weight of brush couldn't get a massive deal of purchase on brush head, is this the prob?

I am going to have to re-do them all 2mora, any tips and hints guys? I am so p*ssed off with this job wish I'd not bothered!

All help apreciated, many thanks guys
Goochie.

Don't know if this is relevant to your problem, but a Plymouth firm did the builders clean with WFP, so it has had a clean once, was a long time ago mind.

One of our commercial jobs has similar window set up ie loads of panes split by metal framework.
We found a problem in the frame work in that on the underside of each metal frame was something like a vent hole. If you get water into this hole then it will leak s--t for sometime.
So do the top panes first and avoid spraying water upwards. Then the next level then the next giving each level a chance to stop dripping onto the next lower one.

i did an office building , last sunday, same discription as yours,  unlike domestic, we offer 2 or 3 cleans,  but with commercial work, you need to keep going at it, depending on the size of the building, it can take up a whole day, you need to take in to account  the first cleans, i had 4 diffrent brushes with me,    the brush that worked best was the gaz swivel, brilliant results

Bet I can clean it with no hassles, spotting, white marks, runs, etc ;D

Goochie if you don't want the job (I'll happily clean the outsides only), then pass it on to me.

Tinted glass is prone to hard water stains as the sun bakes on any hard water residue before it has a chance to run down the glass. Some times this staining is very faint but if its on there if you look closely you will see brownish spots where the staining is
When you use pure water to clean the glass the water as its sheeting down settles on top of these spots and when it dries along with the residue it leaves white spots or at least half spots
Its entirely likely that this is not the problem but to check squeegee one pane and stand looking along the glass with your eye a few inches from the pane and if the brownish spots are there then you will see them , If they are just use a hard water remover(sorbo does a good one) and then just squeegee it the first time with gg3 or 4 and as long as future cleans are not that far apart it should wfp OK

he'll probably become the fastest WFP'er!

he'll have two poles, one in each hand, one scrubbing and the other rinsing lol!

anyway, back to the discussion, keep at it mate, have you got your pump going on full?
