Had the same a year or so ago, some american fella kept ringing through the day (must have been night time when he was ringing as it was morning and afternoon here). Spoke to my Brother, he's a big shot project manager, does big City refurb jobs (Shell, John Lewis) and he said the difference between cleaning and replacing costs were not far apart enough to bother with so think it would be a very difficult service to market.

Extracta do some sort of ceiling cleaning system. With their Spirt machines.

Got involved in a job years ago. Bus drivers canteen. All the ceiling tiles had to be sprayed, it worked a treat.

But what agro doing the masking up sheeting etc etc.

Not worth the trouble.

Ceiling Pro is here in the UK now and you shouldn't get pestered anymore as all the UK areas have now been sold. Unfortunately, that it the way the Americans do things, they are heavily into telesales as phone calls are as cheap as chips.
Processes have since moved on too, though cleaning is always going to be a dirty job, odd as it sounds.

One Step has supplied an accoustic tile cleaner for years, "spray and go", you simply spray the tiles and only wipe the metal or plastic dividers.

I got a sample of the Amtech stuff at the cleaning show. Haven't used it yet though. Its a microsplitter and the idea is that it makes the soil particles mobile and they are absorbed deeper into the tile leaving the surface looking cleaner. You don't touch the tiles just wipe the frames. Seemed to work well on the promo video. You still have to mask everything underneath and apply with a good sprayer.

Have been asked to look at a department store ceiling.  Have planned this survey for end of next week.The manufacturer is Ecophon and the ceilng range is Focus C , any tips before we go? Thanks

I'd be interested in these products too, as some ceilings can collapse with the slightest moisture apparently.

The damage to the tiles is through contact, when wet, which must not and should not happen the product is applied as a mist and left alone
