How often do you clean?
« on: August 28, 2007, 05:20:36 pm »
Hi

I have recently started my WFP business and have told my customers that I will be doing them on a 4 weekly basis - some qoutes that I have done they don't seem to want them done that often, just wondered how many weeks you guys work on? 4? 6? etc

Thanks
Andy

Most of my customers are 8 weekly....most people I find do not want 4 weekly...so 8 weekly is good for both the customer and me.

Cheers'

Nearly all 4 weekly, odd few 2 weekly and others 8 weekly.

Even got a fewe who have them less frequent, 12 and 26 weekly but they are very large stately homes.

most of my custmoers are 4 weekly, though i have a few 2 weekly and 1 every 3 weeks. but that is going to become 2 or 4 weeks. it might be local and easy to get to and do - but its a pain trying to organise things around half an hour's work

All my domestic work is 6 weekly except for a very few that I do 12 weekly.  I will only do 12 weekly if a job is worth £50 or more - though a few of the current 12 weeklies are less than that.

Nearly all monthly (some 2 monthly). My customers seem to like to know that I'll be there on roughly the same date each month, not the same day every 4 weeks. It means 1 clean less a year for me, but I'm happy with that.

6 weeks near the coast, 8weeks further inland. A few on 12 weeks.  All wfp.  We find 4 weeks too early for wfp or the customer will baulk at the price so keep to your price and extend the cycle. Means you have to get more customers, but you are making the right margin from each one.

so ,

there are only so many cleans you can do in one week,

in real terms does it make any difference if you are working every day lads? ???

i know it gives more scope for building... i think.... early days..

but once you have a full week , every week. i cant see the difference, i know the topic is about who does what .... bit if you clean every six weeks or every two.... if your books are full and you are working every day... it dont matter does it?...

i think we should try to clean every week at the same houses lol..... 50 customers, ten a day... £15 per house.... good wage , easy to build.. ;D

ah i will dream on  ;) ;) :D

I am 100% with Macc on this one,  I put "I want different" customers in the same bag as the "You will need to get on the flat roof" folk.

Its labeled "someone will do it, but I have other things to do"

I am not picky and will bend over backwards for a customer, even returning to some excellent ones on a different day to do the backs if they are out (this is not something that is usually offered, it comes after a good relationship has been built).  But I personally need a few rules to stick by or I would be all over the place.
