what a day!!!!!!
« on: August 24, 2007, 09:26:27 pm »
pulled onto an estate i do to be met by the first customer who i've only had for about 4 months to be told we don't want it anymore as my husbands friend is starting and we'll get him to do it, ok i think but knowing i'll never take them back.

any way doing my next house and this stupid fat b1tch comes over shouting at me about something that went on about 7 months ago (and she never ever paid for her windows, you might remember i posted it a while back) anyway i didn't reply to her just let her have her say and waited for her to go away. she goes and sits in her car and then continues shouting at me and by now i'm really getting pi55ed off >:( >:( i was so close to letting go of my 36ft powerpole which was fully extended and was gonna drop it straight through the roof of her new car that she was sitting in.

public liability is deff needed when your having a bad day ;D

does anyone else ever feel this way? or am i losing it? ??? ???

Three bits of advice;

1/ Never clean a house more than once without payment!

2/ Get yourself a lighter pole!!

3/Get yourself some better customers!!!   ;)

Buy a wheel clamp,i don`t care how much they cost.Put it on her car wheel when she`s not around with an official looking sticker on it with your details saying it will be removed when all payment is recieved, you can by these clamps online for personal use to stop your can-van from getting nicked, the good ones have a stainless steel lock so she can`t get her old man to cut through it.

If we didn't have bad days how would we know when we are having a good one?

I've not had a good week really, found it hard to get motivated, got dumped by one customer and dumped one myself. I don't know if its the weather but it feels like a real grind at the moment.

By the way, if you are going to put weedkiller on her lawn, don't just splash it about, write a rude word with it in big letters on the grass.

aye, let it pass mate, next week something good will come along, i.e. a new customer, and youll think, why was i down last week, for nothing, pick yourself up and carry on

and as much fun it would be to go and do something to her, whos been the bigger man here ??? but learn from what grounhog said, never clean a house more than once without payment. well if theyre new ones, ill do it twice until i get paid, and old ones i do it 3 times till i get paid

its just a learning curve you will get customers like that, some people say dont do it more than once wiv out payment but i think that is hard depending were you live you will struggle to get all your customers paying.

But dont let them take the p if its gets to 2/3 cleans leave them a note to contact you and its always good to have a contact no than you can ring wen it gets to much.

Regarding payment, I expect everyone to pay within a week (less then £10 I let go until next month). If they don't, I want a reason. It may be that they were on holiday. Fine. But I won't clean again until I,ve spoken to them. I don't get the odd fill of diesel for nowt so nobody is getting the odd clean for nowt either >:(

Aren't you the bloke who threatened to break a customers nose who had just had his house burgled, because he told the police that you had cleaned his windows that day?
No wonder we have such a poor image in the eyes of the public!!

That's right.

I had cleaned his windows for years, his wife trusted me so should have he. It was his attitude as well as the lack of trust. Well he wanted me DNA tested as they found some DNA which proved im trusting & it was not me.

I dont know one of my custy's that dont trust me, if they dont i drop them.

But to point the finger at me was well out of order. So your saying it's ok for him to say it's me & when proved i'm innocent & he turns round & says it could of with attitde my reaction is, oh well, never mind, i dont think so. he pointed the finger at me & not even a sorry, made a mistake, sorry.  ::)

You say it was proven that it wasn't you.  Does that mean that the police DNA tested you?:  or did they or did they get a match for the DNA from their database that lead them elsewhere?
If a customer started accusing me of burgling their place, they wouldn't get another window clean from me.  Furthermore, if they repeated that allegation, they would be getting a solicitor's letter threatening to sue them for slander.  I wouldn't carry it through though because that's expensive and any compensation would be low.
Apart from that, the police keep DNA results for life and that's even if you never get to court.

Right lets think about this carefully! the poor chap has just been burgled, so he obviously calls the police as anyone would, now the police are going to want to know about anyone who has had access to or has visited their property recently, one of which was unfortunately macc their window cleaner, so to help the police he would have had to be named, so that the police could rule him out of their investigations.
So this man goes through the terrible ordeal of being burgled, and then to make it worse he has his friendly local window cleaner calling round to threaten him with a broken nose!! Nice  ???

Now look at the other side macc has been loyally cleaning the windows with no problems then is wrongly accused of burglery also has the ordeal of having the police at his door taking a dna sample
How would you feel?
I know i would be annoyed also and would let the customer know that i am annoyed although i would stop short of physical violence as that solves nothing
