As far as I'm aware there is only one way to do it...stepladder and do an impression of Michael Angelo painting the Cistine Chapel.

Bloody hard back-breaking work and I avoid it like the plague. If somebody really wants it done I charge lots hoping they'll say no and do it themselves.

The other thing is to insist they clear the cons of everything.

Good Luck!!

if you do do it, dont forget to get some kind of plastic sheet to put over the carpet so it doesnt get wet
and i'd think  it would be best not to do it on a hot day because the water will dry very quickly and it wont be nice to work in as conservatries get very warm (as im sure you know) its a good job for a rainy/cold day though

I was thinking of doing it traditional with a unger pole like i used to do in the old days ;D ;D.
just mop it then squeegee it, job done
Got a feeling it mite be harder then it looks

I've tried using a pole...it just don't work as the blade isn't at the right angle. You have to up there and because you're squeegeeing upside down you get water everywhere so as PWC suggests put a plastic sheet down to protect the carpet.

If it's tiled then you can mop up afterwards.

Rather you than me mate ;D

depends on the angle and shape of the roof. I've done it withan unger pole before and it came out ok, but it was just a simple lean-to type of con.

Ask them to remove all furniture, and carpet before cleaning, a plastic sheet with a ladder on is asking for trouble, price it at double your hourly rate and say it is timed, this way you dont lose out on money, if they ask for a fixed price triple the time you think it will take, con roofs on the inside are a pain in the backside, i got caught out once "never again" step ladder and trad I would say, then again never tried wfp on it, if tiled floor sheet it with plasic as the grout with get stained and re grouting as a royal pain in the a** been there before.
Dont ever avoid things that make good money, this only says you dont know how to do it correctly. A hard job will always be higher in price.

the last inside of a conservatory roof i done was a plastic translucent roof not transparent like glass. i used a dry (never previously used) applicater mop head on the end of a pole and buffed really hard, job came up really nice. unfortunately this would probably not give you the same quality job if you are talking about a glass roof - smears etc may still be visable

I did one not too long ago.
Just used some steps, a not too wet applicator and when i squeegeed off I ran the t-bar just below the squeegee.  this collected most of the water from the glass before it dripped.  It worked a treat.  It did take a quite a while though.  Put in a good price and take you time at it.  If you are worried about drips you could try using some dust sheets, they are safer than plastic sheets in my opinion.

i do them using a pole and trad gear. get the excess water off with a squegee and dry with a dry micro fibre applicator sleeve or wrap a micro fibre round a tbar.

Never done one myself. If you can reach to roof with your hands, how about trying how I do insides. Spray window cleaner stuff from any supermarket. Clean off with kitchen roll and dry with a microfibre cloth. Works great for me, although i don't fancy working above my head :) I don't agree with the double/triple your rate merchants. At the end of the day all you are doing is cleaning a window. Charge the same rate, after all it will take you a long, long time to do it. Time = money.

hers what you need to do the insides with a pole and I gurantee you it will work, don't just think about getting these products just get them and the job will be so simple, I use them to do inside velux windows. In consists of an angle adapter and a microfibre swivel attachment for the pole.

The angle adapter allows you to use the squeege on roofs and the microfibre duster allows you to dry streaks and edges off really easily. Go to Home and Bargain for the microfibre swivel ( £1.99 ). I used to use it for drying windows that i did trad pole, you will wonder how you survived without one, but buy 2 or 3 because after 2 or 3 months they will break, Luke
