All The Gear, No Idea!!
« on: August 14, 2007, 10:15:04 pm »
At last, I am now the owner of The Sabrina Maxi, and all relevant chemicals and potions as of today.
So, now to book some training, and then, conquer the south west and become a millionaire.
So watch out....  ;D

Pro chem or Ncca course?

Thanks for all advice people.

Craftex are good, good people and gave me a good deal.

Hi Dan,

Sorry to butt in. Prochem courses are good, went on my first course with them (2 day carpet cleaning) teaches you the basics to get you out there earning money!

The microsplit chemical you probably bought from craftex is excellent! I use it every day either as a pre-spray with agitation then flush with water or as a conventional spotter.

Good luck with your new venture!!

P.S. Glad you said the south west not south east, I'd be worried ;D

All the best,
Jason.

Hi Dan,

The prochem course would be a good start. It will teach you the basics of carpet identification and cleaning procedures accordingly. Its a great start into the industry!

Not sure it will help with the other issues ::) When you start a business on your own no matter what it is sleepless nights and problems will incur, I'm busy at the moment but still cant sleep thinking of things to do!

Sitting up at the moment doing invoices but printer has run out of ink so cant print them out!!

Glad you're so keen to get into the business, good luck mate ;)

All the best,
Jason.

Did they sell you anything to aggitate Micro Splitters.

Personally I would have gone for Non Micro Splitters  to start with.

Cut the habbit and invest in courses  you are constantly learning.

I am supprised that Craftex did not offer training as part of the deal most other suppliers do.

Which represents a discount of between £100 to £200 if you need the training.

Hi Dan
Out of all the equipment you can buy knowledge will be you greatest asset ,do as many courses as you can ,you will also get to use all different machinery, meet up with other cleaners, and get a better understanding of the type of specific machinery you will need ,and the confidence to go out and clean, you will also have a better direction of the types of different  cleaning areas you would like to go into as there are many.

Microsplit, good stuff - helped me out on food stains in a golf club yesterday when the stuff with an M in it (which I'm usually happy with!) never touched them.  :(
