Im starting a part time business in carpet cleaning, houses pubs, where ever I can, would this machine be up to it for a while? Or is she too small?

no way pedro, you'll be forever filling it up & you want more psi & vac lift! look at alltec,s , amtech's machines, they can more then handle the job.

This would make a very good spoting machine,but that is about it.Have a look through the search engines on portables to get all the info you need.You would be better off getting a good second hand unit to start off with and go on some cleaning courses if you have not already done so which you should make a priority.

if your buying new, you pay for what you get, if its cheep, its prob crap. its always best i've found to go that extra yard for the best machine available, along with experience you'll provide a much better service. regards char

Bloke at Craftex reckoned it was a great machine, perfect for me, just under agrand, but with upgraded motor 1600 watt two stage?

craftex do a great superb range of chemicals, but there machine are considerably lightweight.

you want a good mid-range machine, 2-3 stage vac mot, about 40-60 lts. www.alltec.co.uk   i've used there machines in the past & they have been great. i wish i still had one! there aqua 40-50's would be a good start up or if you could get one 2nd hand i've seen them on e-bay many times.

the sabriana maxi good lttle machine 30 litres waste 30 litre soloution, ive cleaned lots of upholstery with one, and great for flats ect.
think some people get a little lost sometimes, its not just the machine,  its the cleaning solution, tecks knowledge, tecks ability to give customer confidence in what there doing,ect ect, that makes you a well established carpet cleaner.
but if you looking around the grand mark rhino from vernon is your best bet as you will out grow the maxi, when you get more confidence and larger jobs and technique gets better, but the build quality is better on the maxi, tanks that is.

just to add filling up and emptying all the time with maxi ? you will with time realise how much solution to put in from start of job and how far you will get before emptying, if you had a bigger machine you will still use same amount, unless you have a silly 500 psi pump. so how this effects this machine is beyond me, just as a silly numbers example
lounge 35 litres to do
maxi 30 litres 3 buckets to start 1 to finish
other 50 litre machine 4 buckets to start
whats difference you still put 4 buckets in as for what you take out again i would hope it was equal with in reason.
also your fear on maintence with in reason do it yourself maxi un clip waste tank, remove filter, three scews lift air filter off, pull motor up, pull conecter of both sides, conect new motor sit back in gaskets, fasten up there you go. pump little hard as a bit tight on space.
john kelly sells maxi and vernons machine never met the guy but posts have seen last couple years all good, is website straight forward and looks good, would say he would give you staight advice, if your straight, with what your wanting to do and achive,
with your machine.

dan, alltec fix & service all machines, so there's no worry there. the maxi is clearly a lightweight machine, i don't have to use one to know how it performs, i would'nt waste me money unless you want to use it for spotting jobs, mate. but its up to you at the end of the day! regards char

A realistic appraisal from some one who has" been there / done it" As darren says, there is an awful lot of points scoring from on boards like this, usually from " wannabees " who will always be looking for " the biggest / most powerful / best looking...............

Your question was about the Maxi................my answer, is, it's about the same as the Ninja 135, on a single vac' motor.

You can run it for about 60, or so feet and still get a decent result

In the work you refer to, the main work is done through the early stages......................vacuuming / prespraying / aggitating, with the machine simply, rinsing and extracting the soiling, which is being held in suspension, or has been broken up and awaiting extraction !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sabrina have a smaller machine which is an ideal spotter...................the Maxi is NOT a lightweight, in fact the construction is better and more solid than many machines I've used, in terms of VALUE it is excellent value for money and if you approach the work correctly, the machine will be equal to many that cost a lot more.

In terms of " just knowing " a machine is a lightweight, you could easily have made a similar assumption about the Prowler or the CFR workstation ( old model ) and been proven wrong, very wrong !
