Will be collecting my hydramaster raptor soon just wanted to no will my prochem hand tools be ok to use with it.I no its a higher psi also is the fittings the same will i be able to use the same hand tools on both machines.cheers Darren.

The only problems you may have is when you upgrade to a TM, just changing portables shouldnt present any problems with your hand tools.

The reason i ask is about a year ago i was going to buy a machine from cleansmart it was the chemspec hydro-vantage and matt said you should upgrade your hand tools because of the higher psi.cheers darren

Yep you should upgrade your tools, at least the valves. I used my standard porty wand when I got my spitfire and it blew the seals within an hour or so, had to get it up graded to 400psi, later on used the standard hand tool and it blew the thing off the compression fitting!!!!!!

There is extra pressure on them, if you are picking it up from Hydra, I am sure they will replace the seals to whatever spec is suitable for you.

Plastic valves are unsuitable.

Kingston K valves are rated to (I think) 250psi cold. probably less for hot)

P valves are suitable and  much higher rated but I don't know the figures.

Just like mine were when I upgraded to a TM. You only need to upgrade your hand tools,like Ken says if they are the cheaper plastic type, with plastic valves.
However with a TM it is BETTER to upgrade the valves to the type with at least the Stainless Steel stem.
