HI
The only thing you can do is rip it out and replace.
Even a steam cleaner at 115C will only get some out.
It gets ingrained and becomes part of the silicon.
Please don't waste your time trying to clean it!
I would charge about £55 to do this job, chances are it will come out in one piece, scrape any residue off, clean area, wait to dry, renew, tell them not to use for 12-24 hours.
Regards
Martin

Johnny
There is no other way. As has previously been said it can be steamed (i use bleach which has a slight effect), or you can charge for it as as another 'service'.
I dont involve myself in that sort of thing as i'm not really very good at it. As far as i am concenered the silicon is part of the 'furniture' and will only look as good as you can get it, like shoddy paintwork or torn wallpaper.
I think replacing the silicon is quite a good sideline

All you can do is rip it out and replace it, easy enough with a sharp stanley knife and silicon gun..............until you get that little bit behind the taps!!!!

bleach it, use a strong clinging bleach leave it on for 20 mins and rinse, it`s always worked fine for me.
