Hi Geoff

Looking on Yell.com there's a J&J cleaning company, otherwise nothing is obvious.  But you could go through all the addresses and try cross referencing them with the published Electoral Register at the local council to see if the name comes up at the address?

There's no names that match on the NCCA data base for Scotland.

If you get on well with our industry's major suppliers, perhaps they may make contact on your behalf if he's on their database?

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Hi Ken,
I have already rang j&j  not them, not heard of him either, looked through all the Dundee cleaners
Talked to Robert at Cleansmart , were he had supposedly purchased a machine in March , but they have no record under that name!!
Perhaps I am completly wrong and the evidence pointing to a scam may well be completly innocent, so I sit and wait  :)   I did have a tel. number 0870  for him ;D  this is now unavailable :)

There was a con merchant mentioned on here a couple of years ago, who apparently failed to pay for a machine...............I think Woodman was the aggrieved party.................never found out if it was resolved.

As a matter of interest..........how can you obtain some thing like this, without paying for it ? Can an address not be obtained through the 0870 as you need a land line to obtain one, I think !

MYTEE SPEEDSTER with a variable 450 psi pump, a massive 202 CFM suction lift and a 2 KW heater producing cold to steaming hot water in minutes...this carpet cleaning, portable extractor is up there with the truckmounts...!!!
It can be operated 150ft away from the wand...it is that good!!!
I had this delivered on 03/07 by Cleansmart.Comes with complete instruction manual and local engineer, 12 month warranty from Cleansmart.
Also comes with FREE training course from Cleansmart.
I also ordered the fantastic "Wonderwand" which uses CFR technology to atomise the cleaning solution at the wand head and blast it right to the base of the pile whilst instantaneously recovering the solution and soil...this allows 30% more solution to be recovered and eliminates the risk of overwetting and shrinkage.
The cleaning and drying improvements are phenomenal
As well as a great saving, I will also include the following items:
Sebo Duo agitator for agitating pre-spray into carpet pile
50ft of 1.5" vacuum hose - BRAND NEW
50ft of 3000psi solution hose with brass, quick connect fittings - BRAND NEW
Grandi Groom for grooming and relaying carpet pile - BRAND NEW
5 Litres of "one step" Microsplitters for synthetic fibres
5 Litres of "one step" Microsplitters for wool fibres
6 x 500ml "Zap It" multi stain spotter
hand held pressure sprayer for spraying on cleaning solution to stains or upholstery
What a fantastic set up for the beginner or the seasoned pro looking for the very best in portable set ups...

Geoff put the 0870 number into www.saynoto0870.com and see if it throws anything up

If this is e' bay, they have a customer service department, as do pay pal, which will investigate this kind of situation.

Rob, any complaint you raise with ebay they pay lip service to, even if it's about fraud

Isn't it easier to just obtain the sellers contact details through Ebay, you fill in the request and they email you the registered address details of the person your dealing with (they also send the other party your details at the same time).

Seeing as nothings been paid and nothing lost I cant see the point in contacting Ebay as theres been nothing done apart from the fact the seller cant be contacted.

As an aside although if you bid on an item you are entering a legally binding contract (unless the item isn't as described) there is no way that a seller can be forced to sell something even if it is listed on auction without reserve.

I bought off Ebay using Paypal a computer - less then £200.
Got it delivered but it had problems.
Whilst the seller did communicate he would not take back and refund.
Contacted Paypal and they refunded my money in full inc delivery charge! Wonderful.
So the system does work (or at least it did for me on that occassion).
Try it.
