Ross - I think forums mean different things to different people.

To a lesser or greater degree they allow us to further our hobby, trade or social contacts. Some build up relationships with other posters and perhaps invest more of themselves than is healthy.

It's a game of three halves!

maybe I'm wrong, but I thought a forum was another name for a chat room about a certain item/thing or trade. Now unless I've been reading it wrong, thats what happening here
