Over the past couple of weeks I have had more than my fair share of guttering work come in and its all good earnings?

I had a couple come in that meant me working on my own and above pitched roofs, this is how I overcome the problem with 3 safety devices in place, 2 sets of ladder limpets and one stand off? there was no bounce in the ladder at all, the second set you can see on the pitched roof (orange) not only stopped the bounce, but kept the ladder away from the lower guttering thus preventing any damage to it.

I could have quite happily run up and down my ladder all day and with the safety devices in place, I was able to keep 3 points of contact on my ladder.

The 3rd picture I thought I would just add, as it looked like I was standing on top of the conservatory roof, were infact I was stood on a flat roof and walking on a scaffold plank

I would highly recommend them I have the old set and the new type with better locking on them, they really did put my mind at ease when I was up the ladder, like I said I could have quite happily run up and down them all day long with no fear of the ladder slipping away.

Do you charge by the job or mtr?

Most guy's charge by the mtr but I tend to charge by the Job, the one in the picture included the conservatory roof.

There are sometimes to many factors to take into account when you charge by the mtr, the one in the picture for instance, included the guttering above the conservatory and the only way for me to do it was from the flat roof next to the conservatory, while I was up there, I made good use of my position and cleaned the roof.

A lot of the guy's on here charge a minimum of a £1 per mtr, can be more depending on the Job.
