Got another leaflet through the door yesterday from another carpet cleaner offering his services to be fair reasonable prices, turn the leaflet over then he is offering his plumbing services this is the second carpet cleaner I know of doing this.

Are plumbers/electricians not making enough money from their trade so going into carpet cleaning ???

Steve

it might be a referral setup, where the carpet cleaner can keep a record of any sales for the other trades. its a great way to finance your leaflet drops and production. selling the other side makes sense.

With marketing costs so high for carpet cleaners its ideas like this that enable you to reach more prospects. plus as you will know many people have carpet cleaning after having work done. its these events that make people think about carpet cleaning.

You could flip this on its head and you pay for space on other trades leaflets that are dropped in your target areas.

If they are a plumber and a sparkie, then they must be rubbish. ::)
I don't know any plumbers or sparks that would even have time to contemplate trying to do carpet cleaning as well, and they would be earning more per hour than carpet cleaning taking into account markup on materials/parts etc.
CCs can usually fit a job in pretty quickly, try phoning a plumber and ask him to do a job at short notice and he will probably laugh at you.John
