Im looking at getting a good quality pole but dont know where to start i have a cheap 18 footer and i want something similar in size but v good quality

please help!!!!

In my opinion and trust me i`ve tried some poles,for everyday domestic 24ft carbon facelift.

I have got:

24ft g/f extender type pole....bloody heavy..was my first pole...kept for emergencies
44ft c/f .....excellent, excellent
But have not tried any of the new lightweight poles

2x2ft g/f extender type pole.
Unger 6ftish...good ok pole for bottoms...

Without doubt the Facelift 44ft c/f is a godsend.

I've had a hold of a facelift, really like them, but can't afford one at the moment; I've just got too many other priorities for my dosh at present.

It a brilliant pole though; I think it's the right combination of strength, rigidity, and lightness; it's not as anywhere near as fragile as a carbon 'fishing' pole; plus it's telescopic, yet modular too; if you want it to be; and I prefer to work with an exterior pole hose.

What's the current price of a Facelift anyone?

I think there about £400 + the old gordon brown,but it`s worth every penny.

NWH, we totally agree again, couldn't put it better mi'sen ( could it be the calm before the storm?  )

Been using mine 9 months now, i use it for all ups & 99% of downs. it gets dogs abuse- thrown about, stood on the lot, never even had to tighten a clamp yet
At 24ft, this is THE pole.

I would like to try the hybrid x-tel though, just for comparison.

Mac LOL,there is no comparison mate the facelift is the mutts nutts.I`m the same as you i`ve never had to do anything to it no clamps have been adjusted yet it is as good as the day i got it.There is 1 thing i`ve had to do because i laid it on a muddy lawn without looking i somehow got grit inside the clamps so i had to take it apart and give it a cleanout,when i saw your name i thought you were gonna give me a right slagging LOL i cant handle all this agreeing it`s doing my head in.

So with the facelift pole or for any pole for that matter , will it come ready for work with brush head connected and the like?

The pole im using at the minute is an ex-tel pole from window cleaning warehouse got it at the fed show 120 quid.  Its a very good pole for the money and very light

Im on my second ergo-lite from Ionics 450 quid each and im not impressed and ill say no more on the matter

I have had the feel of the facelift pole and was very impressed but i cant afford one but when i can im having one

What size X-Tel did you get?

I've just taken delivery of a 17 ft glass fibre and a 31 ft Hybrid.  Not had a chance to use them yet.

I agree with everyone that the Facelift poles are excellent quality, but they are quite flexible (even in CF) and they are overly long to work with as the 24ft is 6' 10" closed length without a neck or brush. It also only 21' 3" in extended length.

My personal favourite at the moment in this size is the 24ft hybrid which is an actual 23' 8".  It is in 5 sections so is a lot shorter when not extended and it is slightly lighter per extended cm than the Facelift. In benchmark testing we have also found that it is significantly stiffer than the Facelift CF and it only costs about £242 for the pole as opposed to the £415 for the Facelift pole.

Which one will last longer? I do not know as the Hybrids are too new to have assessed longevity yet, but you could nearly buy 2 of them for the cost of a Facelift.

i agree the hybrid 24 nice pole, just put one in the van

good section length for the down stairs as well. stiff at height and thin enough sections

i would like it to be a kg lighter though,  then i could work all day with it    ,Ill leave that thought with you
