Need a bit of advice
« on: October 01, 2004, 08:18:21 pm »
I am already doing window cleaning since may and going quite well and thinking about also doing carpet cleaning.

I have done carpet cleaning before and used to enjoy it but this was about 15 years ago helping a chap out up north for about 6 months.

I expect there has been a lot of changes since then and really want to know if its worth doing with so many people offering cut price carpet and upholstery cleaning.

I was thinking about buying alltecs Aqua 40 Basic
Starter Package.
Is this ok to start with and build on it as i get enough work.
There is also a Two-day Carpet School and a One-Day Marketing Seminar training in this package are they any good.

I do plan on deliving about 5000 leaflets a week to start with how many enquiries would i expect from this many leaflets a week.
I am not going to do it dirt cheap either and have been looking around at prices and was this about 25p per square foot.

Any advice would be appreciated

Paul

I bought that same start up pack though i like the machine and you get a load of chemicals.

i also manage to get a few freebees hose bags for one.

If i could turn the clock back i would research what i needed and just get that to start, and build from there. ie i got a lot of upholstery cleaning stuff but i'm not doing that yet so i dont need to have it just yet, though i will in the future.

Then use the money for other things ie sebo vacuum but not from alltec as you can get them a lot cheaper else where.             Paul

Paul...and I could be referring to you both

Visit the Carpex show in Docklands this Friday and Saturday (details elsewhere in this site)
Talk to the NCCA who are joint organisers....see all the equipment...you won't regret it

Look me up at the show....I shall be leaving in a few moments for Carpex...setting up, meetings etc.

They will know where I am if you ask at the NCCA stand
