Paul

Have only just gone over to the router, as I understand it a permanent connection.

Len  Yes isnt ment to be a permanant connection but i am having problems with it.    BT blame my router as its not BT 's  I have returned my router to be tested and its come back ok.

BT said they found a fault on the line but never recorded it any where.

I'm thinking of changing to another supplier but will i experience the same problems as its the same line    Paul

Paul, have you downloaded service pack 2 for windows XP. This fixes all kinds of issues in windows. (If XP is what you have).
Make sure you have installed the drivers corectly for the adsl modem.

Paul

I have never had a problem with BT, have had a few friends who changed to the cable systems and reverted back, some thing to do with customer service.

Re down load of service pack 2 for XP care! Have it on good authority still some problems!

I’m on service pack one not the down load version but on disk, by the way my router is not BT, will I tell them ???
