I did, when I got the JP package about 10 years ago..........................the response was good, but I directed it at previus clients I had'nt heard from, for some time.

I also added a referral request which gave me at least two new clients per clean.

When are you moving to Spain...............if you don't have a business set up i can suggest something lucrative, but you will have to be registered in Spain be able to speak some Spanish.

Hi there carpet Guy.

Thanks for your advice.
Well about SPAIN, I have a friend there which has been living there for some times and offered me to go there and set up cleaning business, I have been to see him several time and I was impressed about life in Spain, and was there again recently, but now I am not 100% sure that I would like to live there for ever, plus partnership usually doesn’t work so well. to tell you truth I have a comfortable life here in U.K. so I have to think about it hard before make the right decision.

Again thanks for thought.

Regards,

Bosh

Hi Boshravie

First, you MUST, do the audit and measure all area even if they are having them done, this is key to this. One reason is that you will be offering three prices, and one will be maintenance. prospects have no idea how cheap this can be.

On the Spain thing, do yourself a favor and learn if don't already Marble restoration it will stand you in good stead. And stop thinking about life's to short.

one of my ideas is to live in Spain and work in the UK. I would have a crash pad in the UK all my calls are already handled for me so it would just mean me telling them when i here and when not. lots of different way to do it, work flat out for three week and one off, you get the idea.

I think that there is a guy in my area that does this. I think he drops about 100,000 leaflets at a time so he must book all the work and then off he goes.

Life has changed so much and we are able to do this kind of thing these days.

I personaly think you have got to be good at Audits to make this work.

And happy to upsell.

I think a Couple of months ago The Alltec Academy did a Ladies day on Audits

Maybee their next Marketing day might be on this.

On the other hand if you have spare capacity you have nothing to loose in trying it.

And you will gradually learn how to make work for you.

As rob says the best way is to use it as a method of reving old Customers who you think might have enough additional work if you do a room for free.

No point if they only have one room of carpet, Unless you get the Suite

Hi guys

Well I like to thank both ian Gourlay and specially ian Harper for your advice.
Ian Harper:
Firstly I have to tell you that I attended the ALL TEC marketing on last Saturday and I was quiet  impressed  the way they presented themselves as well as how they operated and I am thinking of joining their group.
Basically I wanted to say if any of you do the `ONE ROOM FREE`, what sort of feed back you get from it?

What you said it was a great tip any way.

Now secondly about the SPAIN thing, well again thank you for the tip. I may one day put it to practice but I wouldn’t like to have a partner in my business because I had one before in my last business and that was enough to put me off for life.

There is saying that says : IF PARTNER IN BUSINESS WAS GOOD “GOD” WOULD HAVE ONE.
And your idea about living in SPAIN and have a business base in U.K. is great one.

Any way my point is that how many of you guys really impediment these marketing strategies and the rate of success?

I spent a lot of time over the past 2 years, in Spain and it's relatively easy to start up a business, but being successful is another story.

I met many Brits, a fair mixture of U k nationalities and there were no fantastic stories of success, quite the opposite, the Spanish business and property market is pretty static, with hundreds of businesses of all sorts, for sale or lease transfer.

There are a few people I know, who are happy to be based there and pop over once a month, or so, but they are wealthy people, with substantial businesses over here, which are well managed and they have no money problems.

The young couples who were doing fairly well, had started up, in Spain, the same businesses they knew best and were able to transfer.

These are refrigeration  / air con' / general trades / handyman types.

Mr Parents Live and work in Spain just outside malaga in a Place Called Frigialiana and they say the most important thing they did was to learn Spannish because if you can get into the local community you will pick up so many more contacts.

The thing the spannish hate is brits that just want it to be little England and have not interest in the local community. My advise would be to live as the locals do and not base yourself in a Brit Community.

Spot on Neil, all the people I met, who were running successful businesses, around the Benalmadena / Finguerola area were, either reasonably fluent, or taking weekly Spanish lessons.

This is just 20 minutes from Malaga & the Airport but would not be my choice, for somewhere to stay.

Our near neighbour, was a loud, arrogant Arab, who turned out to be Bin Laden's brother, honest, lives in Benalmadena, just up from Flamingo Square.
