« on: June 25, 2007, 12:33:52 pm »
Hello all

Had a call today from a rep from "blackpool uk".He basically said he was looking for 2 reputable businesses in my area to work with a local estate agents for carpet cleaning, emergency flood jobs, new tenant cleans etc....would i be interested.

Basically an exclusive contract to deal with top end Houses.

Would cost me £20 a week...for a minimum 2 year contract.

Anyone else received the same offer at all /Or similar?

I would appreciate any feed back?

Thanks Guys!!

These cold callers always ask for reputable businesses, how do they know you are reputable?  Ask what they know of you and where did they get your number..

Be carefull i had a call from a business directory the other day and all she wanted to know was my name and position in business, who deals with this and that etc told them go forth and multiply.

Probably want to create mailining lists and then hey presto i am inundated with pain in the a... sales calls.

They drive you mad and you will get no business from this type of company just a dent in your bank balance.

Forward your own details to local estate agents then if they need a cc they may or may not call you But Dont Hand Any Cash Over! or Tell him you are willing to pay per enquire they get you and see what he says, probably goodbye.

Hi Guys

I would strongly advise you not to part with any money for these promise of work companies.

I made the mistake once , another estate agent linked scam.

Cheers

Hi Guys

Don't usually bother talking to these Scammers but had one a couple of weeks ago from the Carpet Cleaners Directory , or something like that.

Told him I didn't need any more work thanks, he than said could I recommend someone.

I said I thought you were supposed to be the directory to which he replied , 'it's always better to have a recommendation'.

None of these people are worth parting with your hard earned money for.

Cheers
