dog pee...again
« on: June 24, 2007, 02:54:59 pm »
I didnt want to hijack the thread about dog urine in rugs,so thought i would start my own.
Normal Sofa..mainly viscose...had 2 dirty great puppy pee stains.A good few weeks old unfortunately.Extracted till i was blue in the face, obviously removed the germs etc,but still a fair bit of dye left in there.Darn impossible to remove.

Im thinking of getting the covers off the cushions in question, bringing them home, and trying to work out the best way to get the stains off!!

Am i expecting the impossible? The guy was happy with the  job,but i wasnt ,and hes local too so want to make a good impression.

Any thoughts or advice much appreciated!

Perhaps if you posted your name some may help.

Regardless its the viscose thats the big problem.  Very absorbant and potential for problems if wet cleaned.

Also dog urine or any urine for that matter leaves a yellow stain which i believe is more damage that a removable stain esp on natural fibres.

id say youve done your best but the stain is permanent.
