I was just wondering how many WFP users still take ladders with them and why.

I still have ladders on my van but only use them on about 6 jobs a month and i really hate using them now.
Im thinking of getting rid of those 6 customers and taking the ladders off my van

I still carry them but they dont come off much.

Use them for access onto roofs & when i do a gutter clean just to have a quick check when they are done.

I'm the same as you, i hate using them now & taking on a job if i have to use them is getting harder to say yes.

Gutters only and one golf club where roof access is needed.  WFP has made me a bit soft and I moan like a baby if I have to use them too often. ;D

I use my ladders almost daily....for the most part they are for access only...i.e over garage roofs in the main.

I took my ladders off the roof of the van and bought some of those multi position ladders that i store in the back now.
There's only a couple of jobs i have to take my bigger ladders and that's for access to balcony.

Yes I still carry the ladders, I use them every week.

I wont get rid of them, They are their if I need them and I do not have any issues about going up a ladder.

But I would hate to be just a trad w/c. Its great going to work and thinking most days that I dont have to take the ladders off the van.

I only use them a few times a month for access and 1 job on the inside for high pannelled windows.  It's funny that jobs with a run of windows above an extension used to be my best windows get up high and do a load in one go, now I hate them as it means extra farting around for a few windows.

I don't mind working from a ladder when needed, just don't like having to get them off the truck.  And I know when I've used them nowadays as my legs ache.

I did try to not carry ladders for about 6 weeks, but sods law i always forgot to put them on for the couple of jobs that i did use them for.
I like having them on the van now as it is like a bit of advertising that i'm 'a grafter.'

Wooh there guys dont take my comment so personally i was having a joke
lighten up
did you not notice the wink at the end

just trying to say that safe use of ladders is still possible
i think sometimes we all get caught up in h&s
i used ladders for over ten years with no problems
now i use wfp again with no problems
sometimes i use both on the same job no problems

jikwan i dont have the wrong attitude i am just realistic
i also have what i call a healthy fear of heights so never do anything that would endanger me or others ;) :)

I probably have about 10 jobs that I need a ladder for getting onto a roof.  Some of them I wouldn't mind ditching but three of them are my better paying jobs (all priced in the last year of course) so I'm not about to dump ladders completely.

carrying ladders is cheap advirtising and they do come in handy (not offen)

customers still relate to w/c using ladders ( well thats why i carry them i tell um)

am thinking of just putting them on van when needed which is about 10 times a mth but that means i will be doubleing the amount of times i have to take um off and put back on again ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
