Watch out all for calls for a company who are saying they are working for the press office of your local police force and have been given your details by a named person from Safecontractor. (they could possibly use FSB etc etc if you are advertising these sort of bodies!)They are offering advertising space in an annual magazine sent to, local to you businesses. If you get a call get the number, cos the police want to know, although they are aware that not much can be done to stop this. I checked out with Safecontractor and they have come across this to the extent that one chap lost £1000's with no recourse and of course this named person does not work for them. You have been warned, so don't fall for it.

I got this call about 3 weeks ago and like a prat believed it, but fortunately told them that I couldnt afford it. Think thats called a lucky escape

they say the same about the ambulance service and fire service advertising the benevolent fund around our way (kent) phoned both services and they are aware but cant do a thing about it apparently

Helen , I had the same last week and said I would be interested in advertising.
Got a bill through the door for £199.00 then two days later a proof of what they were going to use.
The design was so poor my 8 year old girl could have done better.
Never part with money until I see the goods in the press, magazine ect ect.
So I have wasted some of their time eh eh eh.
