Pics of van...inside, new backpack and new pole
« on: June 07, 2007, 09:03:44 pm »
just got a backpack and new pole from purefreedom, very very happy with them so took a few pictures

the pole is a 18ft streamline pole, it has the new style clamps

its much lighter than i thought, i am really pleased with it! also it has three ridges in it so the pole doesnt spin around, even when the clamps are open, i think its really really good! as said, very very pleased. i did try to take a picture of the ridges, but whether you can make it out i dont know

also, i took some pictures of my new backpack on the trolley

then just some general pics of the van, needs a little clean, oops, but i do live in the country!!

oh yeh and my uniform

Is the pole 9ft sections?

I see the backpack has hozelock fittings. Can they be changed to minibore?

thanks for the kind comments, so the metal bar across the front of the tank and the ratchet straps tied down to the anchor points wont help. no disrespect mate i was waiting for comment on my new stuff and the van, not how i use or fit my tank  ;)

Thats more than sufficent to hold the tank!!!

Will your new pole fit in the van ok?

I really like the look of the new pole. I can just make out the ridges in the pic. Thats a really good idea!

Shut it!

Infront of the tank at the bulk head!!!!!!!!

If you have nothing constructive to say keep your comments to yourself.

I know lwc personally and have seen his set up and its more than secure.

Are you a engineer?

Your connections (hoselock) look good. I've got them shreader quick release and the female (£8) plays up.I'm on third.

People seem to have a thing about tank security and protecote. In a smash we'd all be in trouble.(and the protecote wouldn't help much either,)

post pics on here and you will get comments...when the security of a tank looks poor...and from the picture, this tank looks like it is held in place with a batten!!!...then any comment is constructive and ony meant to prevent the driver being killed...

those poles are CRAP...! DO NOT use a full extension and NEVER try to close a window with them...they will crack so easily...that is why they are so cheap... :P

thank you. yes i know theyre supposed to be constructive, yes it is a peice of wood, at the back, and big thick one that is bolted to the back then to the sides, but thats at the back of the van, if it goes that way, well then so be it. fortuanlty i dont drive like a idiot, and im carfeul

dear me guys leave the tank alone lol!  ;D

and i like the pole, yes its cheap, but its for someone else to come with me a couple o days a week  :)

Nice simple, clear, van graphics.  Like it.  The pole is an 18 ft Extender made by Exel.  They are a good value pole for lightweight work but you will find it will wear quicker than some others.

well i have an old yellow extender pole, which i bought from excel, 7 years ago, and its still in use today,
the clamps are still ok, its fell about a thousand times,   mind you its not exactly yellow now its mostly
faded, and it was only £20 not bad for a bit of crap?  ;D
