Hi Paul,
There are a few polish recruitment agencies around that might be worth looking @.
We have one in Scotland called pol-uk who are very good and charge £7.50/hr. Im sure there will be one closer to you. The good thing about the poles is that they are very greatful of the work and ask for overtime etc...
I just wish more people in Britain had a working attitude like that when they are on min wage.

Paul ,
Some friends new I was looking for staff and put them on to me. By some estimates the population of Edinburgh is now Polish!!!. If you come across any Poles just ask them if they have any friends looking for work, I'm sure you'll get bowled over in the rush.
regards

Apparently so. Most of them seem ok. Played basketball with a bunch of them the other week and their English is mostly pretty good. The guy that works for me sounds like he has meen here for years even has the slang and the colloquilal stuff. Some customers mistake him for a native.
Cheers

The logical followup to the above postings, should be...................what do you think these people will be doing in 10 years.................do you fancy working for a Polish employer at minimum wage ?

Ther are an estimated 40,000 Poles in the North East of England. You should be able to find one amongst that lot Paul.
It won't take 10 years before these lot are setting up carpet cleaning companies, its happening now!

Be careful not to give out to much info. They will be pretty quick to undercut us.

The cost of living is no where near as expensive as here, yet. My mates have just been and didn't even spend 100 quid over a full weekend. Thats a normal night out for them in Newcastle. We've just booked up to go to Krackow in August. Trouble is give it five years and it will be the same as everywhere else cost wise. Thats whats hapenned to Prague.
By then most of the Poles who want to stay here will have moved up into better paid jobs or become self employed and the rest will drift back home as it won't be economical for them to work here.

Hi
i have worked with a few polish and they work life demons.
BUT...
If in the future they undercut you and you lose the contract, they may say they didn't understand your contract (about not doing that) as it was in English, but they signed it as they wanted the work.
Just be careful
Regards
Martin
