« on: June 06, 2007, 07:13:19 pm »
Hi Fellas,

My pole has split about an inch and a half on the 6 to 7 join on both sections, could I get it repaired at a fishing shop? or would gaffer tape do it?

regards Jon

Cut it with a hack saw(new blade)sandpaper the end with fine sandpaper, good as new as long as the split is not to far up the section.

Duct tape will make a temporary repair, wrap it around the outer section of the joint several times. This should last a fair while.

For a professional repair try Scott at Esselle Pole Repairs on 07759678774. He is very reasonable and the repair will be stronger than the original pole.
