I’ve got this pole and it weights a ton and a bit whippy  fully extended, yes its cheap but you will be knackered after 30 mins of using it.

Alex,
Let me know if you find a 10m extendable flag pole thing made from carbon fibre as they are usually made from Glass fibre.
Click on the diy link below for details of the F16- reply 3.  :)

First three are glassfibre telescopic and max is about 20ft,  the carbon fibre at 13m will give a pole about 10m but no idea of the thickness of the tube from a pic and dont know if you can add extensions.
I thought you  wanted to go to 40ft, the only one I can therefore I reccomend is the F16 as it seems not to have many problems. You have to realise these are very light instruments and will need looking after, mine is now 17 months old.

i was just suggesting them to see if they could be added to and taken away, you know, use them for the lower sections and add a carbon fibre piece(s) to take me upto 40ft

would any 16m carbon pole do or is the f-16 the best one because of its "stiffness"

Any but I only have experience of hands on with 3, A Leeda Blue Diamond- no longer in production but a damn good pole if you can get second hand and a Garbolino Executioner.

I have felt many others but they seem to be a bit thin. Email if you want  or If I  can help to know more. Got to go off line to get on ebay soon.
The F16 is the one.

so you would recomend all three

ill just keep my eye open on ebay see what i can find,

so if i get the pole and follow you advice on the diyforum, i should have a pole capable of going over 72ft, with extensions

but i only need it for 40ft or so, just want the capabilities and dont want to shell out for a monster or a uni pole 8kg thats just mad
