Oo arr Paul,

The problem they have is that everything moves so slowly, they have to make a chalk-mark on one of the wheels to determine whether a car is parked or being driven  ;D

(  second attempt)

Len      It doesn't matter if it is private property they can still ticket you if it is in a designated no parking area.
I don't understand how this works but westminster council make the rules up as they go along. They ticket taxis for dropping off passengers. Thats clearly not parking and they don't slap a ticket on the windscreen, it just arrives in the post.

Recently parked for 3 hours on double red lines just of the Mall, SW1, 2 red police cars came by and checked but NO hassle  8)
Could say who i was working for..........but i would have to kill you  ;)
Vince...... i understand that ticket must be validated by tax disc number now so they cannot just ticket car without looking at disc.  ???

Vince

If they still want the money I will then question it, I understand some boroughs are employing illegal’s.

Chris is right re tax disk

I don't promote my services  where there are parking restrictions and will only take on such a job if I can use a visitor's permit.

I avoid city areas like the plague.

i had a simular prob with good old westminster t/wardens,asked one if it was ok to be there for a few mins, while i unloaded, was told yes no prob, then out of a man hole cover came the brain dead one who gave me a ticket, took 7mnths to resolve, what a waste of time and man power! :P
Its never a pass of the wand, just a master stroke.
