can someone please help with some pointers on employing people please.
we are at the stage where we need to take on another person, but we are not sure about how tax and n.i. works, we have been told that below £80 per week and they dont pay tax, but do we have to do any thing i.e. register them as employees etc. initially we are looing to start someone for just a cple of days per week and build it up to increase their days. any advice greatfully received

Bill, get in touch with your local Inland Revenue office. They can send you an information pack which will tell you all you need to know.
