Looks like a nice set up. Mine is a long wheelbase trannie with a semi high roof.

Loads of space but the prob is the roof height. When I go to do offices I have been caught out because of the roof height, they often have height restrictions at the car park entrance and I cant get in easily.

That looks like a marine fuel tank as if from a speed boat etc.

Mine is actually in the body you fill it up like you refuel the van. Trouble is it takes ages as the tank has a neck and keeps on 'klicking' out all the time.

Could be that Hydramaster and Alltec look at that set up as it makes more sense.

Murky, they all do that, turn the pump handle round when filling, it wont click as easy then, turn till its alomost upside down, its the angle see, they dont pump if the nozzle is horizontle, it needs to be tipped down ward,

I could of said that easier,

stick petrol pump nozzle in truck mount filler, turn 135 degrees, then fill up, enjoy no clicking ;D ;D

Believe me I've tried every angle.

I find I get the best if I go to older privatly owned garages where the nozzles arent so sensitive, BUT the fuel is dearer!

Hey Ho!

But i wouldnt swop it back for a porty.
Oh no what have I gone and said now!

Chris would you do me a favour and measure the inside of your van floor, I want the length and the height as that van could be my next.

Shaun,
the van interior measure 5ft 3 inch wide x 7ft long.

This is the actual usable space, the specs for the van say its bigger, but the interior "bows" inside .

My van is the swb model, i had it before deciding to get a T/m and didnt want to spend out anymore cash  ;)

If buying again I would go for the LWB model. Not just for the extra length, but because its got a 1200kg payload.

regards

Chris

ps  I forgot to measure the height  >:(    Will do it in the morning  :(

If you meant petrol costs then mines about £3 per hour.

Remember thats £3 per hour when the T/M is switched on  ;)

I can usually work a full day for £8.

Also when cleaning upholstery the machine can be run at a lot lower revs, so it doesnt use much fuel ( £2 per hour or a total of £3 to do the average suite)

mine is LPG gas a cost about £25.00 per week, so very economical, don't know the exact cost but about £25.00 per every £2000 earned, i think

Get a bigger van better looking at space than for it.

A day last week I needed to use the TM, the portable and the Texatherm system allin one day and collect a few rugs too.  Couldnt do all that in a SWb.

Chris, when I installed my truck mount and everything else I was told that the tank had to be filled and vented to the outside.  Is it not the case or are you hoping not to be stopped?  Best, Dave.

P.S. Whats the white container for in front of the tank?

Chris

Why didnt you fit a ball valve to the exit end of your waste hose, then you wouldnt have to lean over your portie or even get in the van to empty the waste tank?

Alan

PS Ive got the LWB high roof Trafic good van, nice to drive, but they like eating turbos!

Hi Dave
With regards to the fuel tank, I don’t know how the law stands on this issue ?

All I can say is that Woodbridge have sold ( i think) over 100 of these truck mounts now.

None of them have fuel tanks that are filled and vented to the outside.

They would have to be nuts to fit them like this if its not legal ?
Also I am sure some competitor of Woodbridge would have grassed them up by now if it was illegal ?

Perhaps your supplier was just " trying it on" to get a bit more money out of you for the fitting ? I think Hydramaster charge about £800 extra for an externally filled fuel tank ?  ;)

The white container is the chemical jug.
