bulk supply of pure water
« on: May 23, 2007, 08:47:36 am »
Hi

I know this has prob been discussed on here but Im sure that some people have got together and rented a unit purely for producing water that is readily available for all to use.

Has anyone done this and what is involved?

Cheers

Good question.  I might use a service like that, handy to nip to if you ran out of water and didnt have a static tank at home.

Hi P@R,

I produce my own in the back of the van but just out of interest where do you get yours supplied?

The reason is that I know 20+ wfp's in the North London area and they have asked me before about this but no one has enough land etc in this area to run a set up like that.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Many thanks,

Nigel

If your mains TDS is about 250, you would probably be just as well off using resin only as buying the water.  You wouldn't save any money but at least you would be more independent.  Of course there would be the initial outlay for a resin vessel but that's a once only cost.

£15 for 400 litres are you kidding thats a very good price!  And so is £18 for 1,000 litres.

Think about it!  How much money can you make with 400 litres??  Loads!

I am after a bigger system soon, and if there's someone selling pure water at around that price nearby I'm gonna take it.

Saves you faffing around at home, filling overnight, water bills, everything.  Okay, it might not be as cheap as having your own garage system, but what about folk who live in flats, only work part-time etc.

I love this idea, and I would not mind paying £15 for 400 LTRS no way, thats an absolute bargain.
