Tds and water pressure?
«

I have fairly low pressure of around 40psi so I boost it with a cheap pump through an Ro-man 300gpd unit giving me a tds of 4. I have a cut off valve in my holding tank that will shut off my water supply when full but have no way of automatically shutting the pump down. If I was to shut down my pump before retiring for the night would my tds rise much under less water pressure?

With no pump you will produce water slower but it shouldn`t affect your quality,i have a 40x40 RO and if i`m filling at the mother in laws the booster pump virtually turns off due to her high water pressure but it has no effect on the quality of water produced. The purpose of the pump is so that you can produce water faster.

Water pressure DOES have an effect on TDS reduction
NWH. As you say your mother in Law has pressure enough to almost shut down your booster pump so output is =
If you try it at somewhere on low water pressure and shut your pump down you will see the TDS creep up.

My booster pump failed once and the water pressure wasn`t great but it didn`t effect my water quality,i was still producing 002-3 after RO.
