Waste Water

Last summer there was a thread on ideas for using waste RO water but I cant find it
Someone suggested extending your waste pipe to drip feed your hanging baskets with the waste but I think I remember someone else giving a reason why the waste water could harm the plants.
Does anyone remember what reason this was ?
I am keen to get this done if at all possible cos I hate watering every night

Hi Sarah
I have been running a waste hose around the garden for 4 months now with no problems, and the flowers look good (which keeps her indoors happy)
I just put small holes in the hose pipe at set points and put the hose about a foot deep
Hope this helps

i mentioned it last year
i run a load of micro irrigation pipe and fittings around my garden from my RO waste, its onl a few hours a day the rest of the time it goes into a rain water butt and that does the lawn
works well for me, the toms and chillies loved it last year
