Had to clean a high 'flat' today up Loch Lomond. My pole just reached 3 up + about 40ft,
it's a glassfibre 1 from gardiners a bit on the heavy side and a bit whippy but it dun the job ok,
cleaned the windows inside and out and was pleasantly surprised with the results,
customer was too thankfully...........

Oh boy that brings back some thoughts, Glad I dont use mine anymore like trying to clean with a scaffold pole, Supalite is supreme now

That job would be easy with the old fishing pole,you could do jobs like that allday long.

That reminds me of thursday when i i had me facelift at 58 ft carbon pole at full whack. Joke of it was it was a job right on the bank of the river thames god it was windy

Well normally i only use the top 2 sections of the pole,
works for me, but 2 day had the lot maxed out,
ideal for wot i need, the occasional 'high' jobs....
cannie afford a facelift carbon fibre.......

i wouldnt of left my pole at that angle and height lol, watched my pole go over too many times, but never at that height

Not for lack of quality but more because their supplier cant keep up with demand so I'm told

I have been thinking the same :

Do I buy an expensive, but very good, superlite carbon-fibre pole to replace my Unger 30ft Telepole?.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but a good CF pole to do upto 40ft would mean an investment of around £500 :

Now, I have about £100 per month of jobs where I use my 30' Unger.  Now I use it OK.  Yes it's a bit of a beast on one or two of the jobs, but I am doing them.

It would take me 5 - 6 months to get my money back and I would have to find more work for the pole, which I don't realy need or want : in order to make the investment pay :

My conclusion is:
No point in spending that amount of money on a few jobs.  If I start finding the Unger "Beast" a real problem for me to use then I'll dump the jobs

Now you may be in a different position; young, lot's of potential for high work
In that case - get a CF super lite and charge the earth to do at hight

Another point of view may be that the highest work can earn you more money, eg a job may consist of 90% work that you can reach but 10% that you cannot so you are not able to get that 90% of work because you cannot reach it. Someone else can an will do thus depriving you of a possibly good job and also coming into your area. I appreciate you already have enough but also think that a new pole of whatever make might just make your life easier.
For example you have made your own brush would you now go back to the one you used before ? Ditto the investement  you mentioned of lets say £500 that may yet prove to be  prove to be an investement in yourself and make your job easier and earn you more money long term.
Get rid of the beast and try a £18 Zensorflex and see where that leads you.

Certainly NOT ruling out a nice light long pole :
Just don't think it is an investment I NEED to make yet.

Besides, in my case, a new trailer is the first priority
